Sub Orbital Flight

Aurora in space

FrontierSpace offers regularly scheduled suborbital flights. These flights are very accessible- they are inexpensive, requirements are loose and the training required is minimal. Suborbital flights are conducted using the Aurora spaceplane, launched from the back of a specially modified Boeing 747. These flights allow enthusiasts to experience space for nearly an hour at a fraction of the cost of an orbital flight on a rocket. Flights can be booked as soon as a month in advance and require less than a week of preparation.

Itinerary

Passengers are expected to arrive one week prior to the beginning of their flight. The week consists of approximately ten hours of testing, training, and instruction. Launches typically take place in the morning. The Aurora spaceplane is loaded onto its carrier vehicles and passengers will board one hour before takeoff. After takeoff, the mated spacecraft climbs for 42 minutes and then separates and climbs to space. Approximately one hour later, it returns to land at our space centre under its own power.
