SYSTEMS ENGINEER

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the preparation of certification documentation related to NASA and Air Force spacecraft and launch vehicles.
- Coordinate customer requirements within various cross-functional teams, including Avionics, GNC, Software, Propulsion, Structures, Materials & Processes, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Launch, Mission Ops, Mission Assurance and Mission Management.
- Review and analyze configuration changes relative to contractual requirements.
- Assist in definition, completion and submittal of design verification documentation.
- Provide engineering support for the integration of spacecraft systems.
- Provide engineering support for the development of system safety and reliability documents.
- Serve as liaison between Frontier Space and the customer’s certification teams.
- Generate technical reports and analysis to support certification and verification activities.
- Generate and maintain an Avionics certification schedule for each project.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline
- 2+ years of experience with Avionics Hardware Development or Systems Integration
- Must possess a demonstrated understanding of electrical hardware design
- Must understand safety and reliability concepts
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Superior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work proactively and effectively in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision
- Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
- Understanding of NASA, SMC and IPC standards are a plus
- Familiarity with Jama Contour or other requirements management tools is helpful
